The Hawk class corvette is a ship class by Neosho Designs that appeared in the fleet shortly after the First Sabor War. It was seen that an even smaller and more maneuverable ship was needed to defend supply convoys as well as destroyers, troop carriers, and landing craft. These Corvettes especially proved themselves most valuable as advanced scouts and relay craft in the Second Sabor War.

While small compared to other ships in the fleet, these Corvettes could pack a punch when working together in numbers.  Though the Hawk is smaller than the Badger class, it is has a better power to mass ratio to make the ship class very well suited for maneuvering in planetary atmosphere and close support missions with ground forces. Though it sustained heavy losses, the class performed well in the Second Sabor conflict and is still in service with the fleet, and has gone through scheduled upgrades to be current with the fleet.
